The donation was a core part of the church’s annual focus on outreach and community engagement throughout October.

Tour and Commendation

Before the formal presentation, the CCC delegation toured the hospital facility.

The Deputy Administrative Manager in charge of Claims at the hospital provided a comprehensive overview of the facility’s operations.

The visiting church leaders expressed their sincere appreciation for the hospital staff’s dedication, commending them for maintaining the premises, including the patient wards, in such a tidy and neat condition.

CCC’s Commitment to Children’s Health:

Presenting the items to the hospital authorities, Pastor Joshua Obeng, the Resident Minister at CCC, highlighted the church’s profound gratitude for the staff and workers’ commitment to caring for the sick, especially children.

“A society that does not keep an eye on the health of its infants and children will eventually lose its existence,” Pastor Obeng stated, underscoring the critical nature of the hospital’s work.

He explained that although the hospital is based in Asokwa, they felt compelled to support the care provided to children across Kumasi.

“As we celebrate October as our biggest outreach initiative, dubbed Massive Evangelism, members and elders of CCC also decided to donate these items to support the Kumasi Children’s Hospital,” Pastor Obeng affirmed.

He added that the donation was intended to help the authorities address pressing needs and expressed the church’s desire to “do more to help people in Kumasi, including testifying about Christ so they could find salvation for their souls.”

Appreciation:

Mr. Benjamin Wiredu, receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, extended his heartfelt thanks to the CCC elders and members for their generous gesture.

He emphasized that the donated items are daily necessities vital for caring for the patients and addressing the hospital’s operational needs.

Mr. Wiredu clarified that the hospital primarily caters to infants and children from ages one to twelve years, though they also treat exceptional cases for patients between thirteen and sixteen years old.

“We are a purely private hospital and resource, retool, and cater for our cases entirely by ourselves,” he explained.

Commending the church’s initiative, he urged other organizations and individuals to “emulate same so that together we can give the best of care to our children, thereby building a healthy society.”
