BENJAMIN AZAMATI has booked a placed in the semi-finals stage of the 100m race of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
The Ghanaian sprinter was too ‘hot’ for his competitors to handle as he easily won the (Heat 7) 100m race with a good time of 10.19s.
Azamati had a slow start but he managed to catch up with the race leaders at the 40m mark. He then took the lead and held on to win the race.
As a reminder, Azamati is Team Ghana’s biggest hope of winning a medal in athletics at the ongoing games, taking place in the United Kingdom (UK).
