The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, Hon. Shirley Kyei Tiwaa, will soon establish a special teacher award scheme to enhance the quality of education in her area.
In recognition of the hard work and contribution of teachers towards providing quality education, the MP said, “It’s fitting that I reward teachers in my own small way.”
She disclosed that, plans are well advanced to operationalize the teacher award scheme, with the education directorate providing technical support to formalize it.
The MP made the disclosure to the media on the sidelines of the Conference of Heads of Basic Schools (COHBS) 1st Quadrennial Conference 2025, held at Abuakwa last Friday.
According to the MP, the award scheme forms part of her personal initiatives to improve quality education, hinting that her office has already liaised with the municipal education directorate to work out the modalities for the award.
The MP reiterated her commitment to improving education in the area and called on all stakeholders to support her efforts.
