Atwima Kwanwoma PM gets historic 4th term

Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah has been re-elected for a fourth term as Presiding Member of the Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti Region.

With a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the enterprising assembly member for Nwineso No.3/Sefwi Electoral Area doubles as an Assistant Headmaster (Administration) at Afia Kobi Ampem Girls Senior High School has held the PM position since 2019.

By virtue of his rich experience, excellent leadership skills and contribution to the total good of the district, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Hon. Kwame Nsiah was overwhelmingly endorsed by the assembly members at their Special Assembly Meeting in accordance with Section 27 of the Local Governance, 2016 (Act 936).

All 43 members present voted ‘yes’ to give him the mandate to chair Assembly Meetings, Public Relations and Complaints Committee among other statutory obligations prescribed by the Act.

He was sworn-in by His Worship Anthony Asaah of Twedie District Court after the election.

After chalking the historic feat, Hon. Kwame Nsiah expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Kofi Amankwa-Manu for their continuous support, guidance and wise counsel.

He also thanked the Assembly Members for the confidence reposed in him, urging them to rally behind him and other local leaders in their efforts to bring development to the district.

“I pledge to work hard, foster teamwork and serve with humility, fairness and accountability to propel the district to greater heights,” he assured.

He also promised to deepen collaboration with all stakeholders to advance the development agenda of the assembly.
