Member Of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa and Deputy Minority Leader, Hon Patricia Appiagyei has applauded the Chief of Kaase, Nana Mensah Bonsu for singlehandedly putting up a modern health center and Police station to serve the needs of his community.
Addressing a gathering of Chiefs and other stakeholders at the precincts of the new Health Center last Friday, Hon Appiagyei urged others to emulate the idea of the Chief and support government in providing care for the people.
She noted that government could not by itself provide all the amenities and services the people in the communities in the country would need.
“Government cannot always do it alone and it was therefore important that we get development partners like Nana Mensah Bonsu, Kaasehene who has put up these modern facilities for his people and the community at large”, Hon Appiagyei stated.
Presentation:
As her contribution towards the operations at the new hospital aside the previous 200 bags of cement and others, the Minority leader presented 10 hospital Beds and 4 desktop computers.
She also added an office cabinet, office chairs, an Office desk,1printer, 1Photocopier as well as a Scanner.
Hon Appiagyei also presented 20 Plastic chairs and 5 hospital mattresses.
Bantamahene:
Speaking as the special guest and representing the Asantehene, Baffuor Owusu Amankwatia, Bantamahene commended the Kaase Chief for emulating the King of Asante very well in terms of development projects.
He asked the hospital management to maintain the facility daily so it can serve the purpose of its establishment.
Kaase Chief:
The Chief of Kaase, Nana Mensah Bonsu addressing the people as he sat in state, thanked all stakeholders for the support they have individually provided.
He noted that the objective of the projects initiated and others he plans to do are aimed at making the people in his community comfortable.
Constituency Tour:
The Asokwa MP also took time over the weekend to visit communities within the Electoral areas within Asokwa to interact with the people.
The MP visited mosques and churches to interact with the congregation and also fraternised with the constituents at funerals and other social activities over the weekend.
