The 16th edition of the GUBA Awards will bring together heads of state, policymakers, investors, and business leaders to explore opportunities for sustainable growth and mutual advancement.

Otumfuo’s presence is expected to foster stronger diplomatic and economic bonds between Ghana and Barbados, paving the way for increased trade, tourism, cultural exchange, and investment opportunities.

The conference will focus on tourism, fintech, agriculture, creative economy, and sports, with high-level networking sessions, investment matchmaking, and exhibitions.

A private reception will be hosted by the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, as part of the planned activities.

The event is expected to yield multi-billion-dollar trade prospects and new partnerships between Africa and the Caribbean.

Otumfuo will subsequently travel to Suriname to attend their 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations on November 25, 2025, as a special guest of honour.

The invitation underscores the historical and cultural ties between Ghana and Suriname, and Otumfuo’s visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations and promote Ghana’s economic interests.
