The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, presented a special stool to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier during his state visit to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Tuesday, November 4.
The stool, adorned with the Manhyia Palace emblem, symbolises the high esteem and reverence with which the Asantehene holds the German President.
The presentation was made by Dasebre Otuo Siriboe II, Juabenhene, on behalf of the Asantehene.
The stool is a significant symbol of Ghanaian culture and tradition, representing the authority and wisdom of the Asante Kingdom.
This gesture, also emphasises the strong bond between the Asante Kingdom and Germany, highlighting the importance of the visit and the potential for increased cooperation between the two nations.
The German President was visibly moved by the gift, which also means friendship and cooperation between the two global leaders, as he received it with smiles and pleasure.
