Death has snatched away the most powerful and influential woman in the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the Asantehemaa at age 98.
The Manhyia Palace has confirmed her passing away at the Asanteman Council meeting held on Monday, August 11, 2025.

She died after a brief illness.
She succeeded her late mother, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, on February 6, 2017.
The Manhyia Palace will announce the funeral arrangements for the 14th Queen Mother at a later date.
Her last major public appearance was on June 26, 2025, when Otumfuo Osei Tutu II organized a grand durbar in honor of the King of Eswatini, His Majesty King Mswati III, in Kumasi.
