Eight benevolent and socially conscious organizations have provided material support towards this year’s Farmers’ Day celebration, which is being organized by the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region.
They are Amansie Rural Bank, Bosomtwe Rural Bank, Kwamanman Rural Bank, Sefwiman Rural Bank, Kumac Ltd, Bentronics Agro Ltd, Bonagro Company Ltd, and Frankerson Ltd.
The items, which include boxes of weedicides, knapsack sprayers, Wellington boots, and cutlasses, will complement those of the Assembly for the award-winning farmers.
Farmers in Municipality who will be rewarded for their toil and contribution to food security in the district on Friday, December 5, at the Apatrapa Roman Catholic Primary School Park.
The items, worth thousands of Ghana cedis, were received at the Assembly’s premises on Monday, December 1.
Presenting the items to the Assembly, Mr. Richard Addai, a banking staff member of Amansie Rural Bank PLC, said the donations form part of their corporate social responsibilities and hoped the items would contribute immensely to the success of the event.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwadaso, Hon. Eric Asibey, received the items on behalf of the Assembly and expressed his appreciation to the companies for their kind gesture.
He further expressed that the support would go a long way to help the Assembly organize this year’s Farmers’ Day event colourfully.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Adu-Boateng, was also present to receive the items.
