SEVEN PRECIOUS souls have, reportedly, been lost in a bloody road accident near Offinso in the Ashanti region.

The crash was said to have happened when a VIP passenger bus and a truck, loaded with cement, crashed head-on.

The two cars crashed in front of a cement factory at Awisem near Offinso around 5:15am on Wednesday, sources said.

According to eyewitnesses, they heard a noise and when they rushed to the scene, they saw dead bodies in the road.

They alleged that six people died on the spot with about 20 others, sustaining life-threatening injuries, after the crash.

They also said the injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment, but one of them sadly gave up the ghost there.

According to them, all the dead bodies have been deposited in a morgue, while the injured have been hospitalized.

Meanwhile, the eyewitness could not state what exactly led to the accident, only saying that police are investigating it.
