Four persons nominated by President John Dramani Mahama to serve as municipal and district chief executives in the Ashanti Region have been approved by their various assembly members.

They are Pearl Patricia Ankrah for Afigya Kwabre South, Wisdom Osei Boamah for Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal, Maame Akosua Sarfowaa Appiah for Asante Akim South Municipal, and Sadiq Abubakar for Ahafo Ano South West District.
They were confirmed at separate special meetings of their various district assemblies on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
After their confirmation, they will be sworn into office by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, before they assume their full duties as prescribed by Act 936.
